Hi and welcome to The Old Bakery Coffee Shop.
Well, you’ve probably guessed by the name that our coffee shop used to be the local village bakery here in Hartland for several generations. Sadly, it hasn’t been a bakery for some years now, but having been raised in Hartland, I do remember it being a bakery as a child. I’m a parent myself now and all the family helps out with the running of our coffee shop.
Being local, I know lots of people and places locally to source fresh ingredients that are used in our light lunches and cakes. Not all ingredients can be sourced locally, but we use as much as we can.
You will always find a warm welcome at The Old Bakery Coffee Shop which is why locals regularly meet here for lunch, socialising and business too, making use of our free wi-fi. We also get our fair share of tourists on day trips and holidays, who all add to the warm and friendly atmosphere.
Our parenting experience has ensured that our coffee shop is kid friendly, with plenty of room for pram access, disabled and baby changing facilities and kiddy meals on the menu… and lovely local ice cream too! Of course you could always use our Creme Egg cheesecake as a tactful bribe after a bracing walk around Hartland Point!
